We are looking for a Middle Tier / Back-End Web Developer to help enable advanced broadcast TV workflows in the context of over-the-top (OTT) video delivery. The flagship product is built from the ground up for the cloud, running on commodity hardware and virtualized environments. Unlike traditional Internet broadcasting solutions that take weeks / months to setup for a single channel of video, this product uses the power of public clouds to stand-up a channel in less than 15 minutes and at a fraction of the cost.
This candidate will play a significant role in the design and implementation of tools and automation to support functional software verification as well as web service performance and reliability.
Skills & Requirements:
BS or MS in a software-related field
5+ years of commercial development experience
Strong experience with at least one of C/C++ / C# / Java / PHP / Python, preferably including experience with multiple compilers and operating systems (Windows / Linux / Mac OS)
Demonstrated experience measuring performance and reliability of web services
Experience writing test frameworks or harnesses a plus
Previous testing experience a plus
Media experience nice to have
Must be motivated and interested in learning new technologies will be most successful
Enjoys working in a highly collaborative and agile environment
