The Industrial Truck Rental Manager (Clark Branch-Birmingham) ties together all of the ongoing repair and maintenance (PM) of rental Material Handling Equipment). Uses multiple methods of communication to coordinate repairs and maintenance for the fleet, uses MS Excel to keep an updated equipment list, and utilize mechanical knowledge to review quotes and approve jobs. Schedule and coordinate rental equipment and equipment transfers. Track and analyze P&L and rental spend. Maintain processes and effective partnerships to complete these fleet management activities.
Responsibilities:
Tie all Power Industrial Truck activities together, utilizing multiple methods of communication and record keeping.
Maintain equipment list and database in Microsoft Excel or other database tools.
Daily dispatch for all repairs utilizing Microsoft Outlook for email communications, and leverage business partnerships with Service Technician professionals.
Utilize knowledge of power industrial trucks, to review quotes and estimates from service business partners, create purchase orders, approve, and schedule repairs.
Ensure equipment is back into service in a timely manner after a breakdown in a high volume, fast-paced warehouse operations environment, documenting communications and interaction effectively.
Review and approve service professional invoices for repair, maintenance, equipment rentals, and equipment transfers.
Oversee the processes that drive activities for service managers, dispatchers, service technicians, and equipment transfer drivers.
Reinforce company policies and practices for compliance with regulatory agencies, including federal and state Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and federal and state environmental agencies.
Schedule and coordinate all delivery and return of rental equipment and equipment transfers.
Manage overall rental spend, approve payments, track and report on spend, and execute processes to drive costs down. Perform rent/lease vs. purchase comparisons, utilizing basic accounting and finance.
Develop and maintain effective partnerships with warehouse operations managers, and with internal service business partners.
Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook. Candidate should have ability to understand and produce analytical charts and analysis in MS Excel.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university, or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
