Senior Accountant Job Opening in Medfield, Massachusetts - Opportunity: The Lueders Companies seeks a financial professional passionate about accounting and business operations with a willingness to roll up his/her sleeves. The Senior Accountant position provides a career growth opportunity for a professional who is a proactive, self-starter with strong financial capabilities and solid organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily and weekly financial processes.
Attention to daily/monthly closing procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations
Assist in annual budget process and monitoring
Responsible for posting cash transactions
Management special projects assignments as an independent worker including the ability to break down processes into steps and document workflow
Maintain purchase order logs and invoice tracking reports
Prepare account reconciliations files for month end
Assist in annual audit and produce workpapers supporting financial transactions
Assist with invoice collection matters
Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions
Monitors budget to actual results and works with staff to understand reasons for variances
Support tax preparation
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Knowledge of GAAP of General Ledger and month end close experience
Strong advanced MS Office Skills
Ability to be a positive force in client service
High Professional and ethical standards for handling payroll and other confidential information
Ability to work effectively with team members and to streamline processes
Experience in the professional services sector is a positive
