Duties and responsibilities
Build relationships with Company target list of accounts.
Routinely contact individuals to inquire about their current projects.
Work closely with the Regional Inventory Specialist on product mix.
Ability to sell on overall quality and service, rather than price.
Coordinate with other division sales managers and salespeople to broaden sales to existing customers.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.
Efficiently manage one?s time and appointments.
Educate our customers on new and existing products and services.
Communicate resources to our target list of accounts (e.g. PRQS, Account Access, Market Support).
Be involved & prepared for weekly individual and group sales meetings.
Respond quickly to customer questions, complaints and concerns.
Continually update product knowledge and selling techniques.
Other duties that may be assigned.
Demonstrate positive interactions with the public and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees, so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized.
Support and contribute to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, and identifying and reporting potential liabilities.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold.
Adhere to company procedures, policies and protocols as set forth in the Hourly Employees Handbook.
Working a minimum of 1 Saturday per month would be required. (5 days per week)
Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications)
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Prior sales experience (minimum of 2 years) in the building material industry.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors and be mobile for the greater part of the day
Ability to stoop, bend, walk, and effectively communicate at levels normal for someone performing work with the general public primarily in the office environment of a customer or job site. Communication forms can include but are not limited to: in-person verbal and non-verbal, written, e-mail, telephone and public speaking to medium size groups.
