Unit Manager Job Opening in Hockessin, Delaware - This position supervises, provides and coordinates nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures and to assess residents? care needs and take appropriate action.
Qualifications
Graduate of approved nursing program
Licensed in the State of Delaware to practice nursing
Familiarity with Federal, State, and local long-term care requirements
Two years professional nursing experience
Demonstrated competence in leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform functions as itemized in physical and environmental requirements of the job
Responsibilities
Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
. Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement facility policies and procedures.
Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems and initiating corrective action.
Provide supervision to Nursing Assistant providing direct resident care.
. Notify physician, when necessary, of changes in residents? conditions, weight, medication errors, medication not available, abnormal laboratory/X-Ray results and any other unusual observations.
Check meal trays and nourishment to ensure proper diet is served and residents are assisted as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned
