Quality Assurance Internship Job Opening in Auburn Hills, Michigan - *This is an INTERNSHIP opportunity; mid to senior level talent need not apply.*
The primary role of a QA Intern is to support the quality and testing tasks assigned to the development team. They will participate in the development of the testing process; working to develop, assess, and improve the overall testing strategy to ensure the release of high quality software. As an active contributor in a collaborative team environment, the QA Intern will have a strong passion for quality, the continued success of our clients and the overall growth of our organization and technical platform.
Primary Responsibilities:
Creates and documents test cases for all applications based on business requirements to ensure the product meets the quality requirements
Executes test cases, performing UI testing of applications associated with user stories to check all functionalities
Works closely with other QA Analysts/Testers, Business Analyst and Developers during pre-release testing to troubleshoot bugs
Participates in development meetings with Developers, Business Analysts, Designers and product stakeholders to keep up-to-date with requirements and project status
Uses TFS to log and track bugs found during development testing
Contribute to the continuous of current QA processes and maintain repeatable processes
Assists in support of end users by isolating reported defects prior to escalating to the development team for resolution

Education and / or Experience
Because this position is of an entry-level, internship nature, we are looking for candidates with minimum experience, but a strong passion of Quality Assurance.
Bachelor?s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field
Previous internship or business experience working in a technology support position or as part of a software development team, a definite plus

Additional experience preferred but not required:
Entry-level experience in a quality assurance team environment working with both building and executing test cases and reporting defects
Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies
Experience using Visual Studio Team Foundation Server
Understanding of relational databases ? ability to query data from database tables using joins and logic
Experience working with test automation frameworks and/or creating and maintaining automation tests (integration, regression, performance, etc.)
