In this position, you will support our ExtraHopper employees and Engineering efforts with your technical proficiency and good bedside manner. You will provide direct support for users based in an environment with a mix of operating systems (OS X, Linux, and Windows), as well as being involved in networking, systems, and services projects. Responsibilities: � Provide direct user support for Mac, Linux, and Microsoft desktops/laptops and user access to corporate network and applications, both on the network as well as through VPN access for remote workers � Provide direct user support and administration for corporate resources, tools, and applications � Develop, coordinate, and drive local and worldwide IT projects Requirements: � Strong customer-service, organizational, communication, and leadership skills � Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (for example, Python, Perl, and Bash) � Experience with various operating systems (OS X, Linux, and Windows) � Expertise in deploying and supporting desktops/laptops, phone systems, and mobile and various wireless devices � Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information � Strong problem-solving skills Desirements: � 2 years of relevant support experience � Insatiable desire to automate � Understanding of TCP/IP networking and common protocols � Experience administering Linux servers and services � Administration of virtualization infrastructure (for example, VMware and VirtualBox) � Experience with Google Apps administration � A strong opinion about vi versus Emac seattle wa washington
