Software Engineer Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Spectra Symbol is an established sensor manufacturing company that is rapidly expanding into the Industrial Internet of Things. As we expand our product offerings to include sensor data collection, storage, and analysis, we are in need of an experienced Software Engineer to lead these efforts. This person will be responsible for establishing new systems from scratch and working with legacy systems as well - with broad responsibility to set the direction of software engineering for the company.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Solid experience with designing, building, and testing Javascript applications ? with a preference for applicants who have also utilized React and for the overall system.
Experience designing and using databases to store and retrieve data from automated systems.
A proven history of design and architecture of software systems ? creating robust and adaptable applications that are scalable.
Some experience programming with Arduino, PIC Microcontrollers, and ZigBee is a plus.
Strong ability to work with others ? to train and mentor others and to collaborate with engineering, design, and business groups.

Salary: $75,000.00 to $115,000.00 /year
