Accountant Job Opening in Wichita, Kansas - A Wichita-based family-owned construction company is seeking an Accountant to provide accounting support for the business. This position will report to the President.
The Accountant will be responsible for performing the following duties:
Accounts receivable and joint billings
Accounts payable
Job costing
Weekly payroll processing
Bank reconciliations
Prepare reports
Payroll, unemployment, sales and use tax filings
Coordinate with HR to process employee information related to payroll, benefits, worker?s compensation and various recordkeeping requirements
Other various tasks as assigned
Qualifications () Required
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
3-5 years accounting experience
Associate?s degree or classes in accounting, preferred
Accurate and attentive to detail
Job costing experience preferred
Experience with Timberline/Sage and Microsoft Office, including Excel
Familiarity with Crystal Reports
Knowledge of or experience with government contracts
Ability to multitask
Problem solver
Organization skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
