Senior Accountant Job Opening in Newport Beach, California - Craig Realty Group is a Real Estate Development company and leader in the development and management of up-scale factory outlet shopping centers located in 7 states. Headquartered in Newport Beach, we currently have an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant .
SUMMARY
Prepare, review and analyze financial statements, prepare budgets, complete special projects, and interact with all levels of company personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Assist in preparation of budgets on an annual basis and provide analysis of financial data
Approve vouchers
Prepare and review sales tax returns
Reconcile bank transactions to book and update cash transactions daily
Prepare and input journal entries into accounting software system
Prepare tax work papers for tax consultants
Prepare Investor?s Report on a quarterly basis
Correspond with multiple departments on a continuous basis (A/P, A/R, Centers, Lease Admin and Construction)
Analyze general ledger accounts for inconsistencies and material misstatements
Be responsible for month end, quarter end, and year end closings
Analyze and prepare allocation of corporate costs
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned
Be able to handle multiple projects in a given time period while meeting deadlines
Other projects/duties as assigned
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or equivalent field
Must have 2 years experience of Partnership, S-Corp and Corp income tax experience. Individual tax experience is a plus.
Professional level of knowledge in accounting principles and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge of accounting software systems ? preferably MRI
Knowledge of budgeting software
