Protein Advantage Customer Service/Sales Associate Job Opening in Boise, Idaho - Job Summary
Manage the marketing and sales cycle for Golbon Protein Advantage (GPA) transactions. Liaison to Distributors, Suppliers, GPA and Golbon staff to facilitate successful sales transactions with highest level of customer service, accuracy, timely accounts receivable. Sales, order placements with packers, confirmation of orders to customers. Customer service including market updates and product information.
Key Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Manage purchase orders and receivable for all sales transactions.
Price orders.
Initiate sales of all products to designated accounts.
Troubleshoot discrepancies.
Analyze short pays/discrepancies and make decisions to write off or rebill.
Ensure all compliance materials are up to date, including but not limited to, HACCP, Certificates of Liability Insurance, Letters of Guaranty are retained and processed.
Respond to, and determine best course of action for all inquiries and/or complaints from customers or suppliers.
Manage customer and supplier databases.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, intermediate proficiency in Excel.
2+ Years? experience managing purchase orders, receivables and basic accounting skills.
2+ Years? sales experience, preferable in the Beef and Pork industry.
2+ Years? in superior customer service skills to develop and maintain productive business relationships with customers, suppliers and associates.
Ability to analyze problems and use judgment to determine best solutions practically and financially.
Reliable and dependable attendance.
General office skills such as mail.
Ability to work independently and manage time; strong self-initiative required, while functioning effectively as a quality team player within the department and the company.
Strong organizational skills and abilities to multi-task and prioritize are essential.
Strong accuracy skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication (oral, written) and problem solving skills required.
Flexibility in hours available to work.
Available remotely after hours as needed.
Some overnight travel required.
Physical Demands
This is largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Other lifting may include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
