Product Specialist - Sales Job Opening in Garden Grove, California - J.L. Wingert Company, founded in 1964, is recognized as a prime supplier and distributor of advanced design equipment and products for the water and waste water industries. Our corporate offices are located in Orange County, California. We are looking for a career minded individual to join our sales team as a Product Specialist.
In this position you will work to support our sales representatives by becoming a Product Specialist. As a Product Specialist, you will strive to achieve growth and meet sales goals within your product line through development of new opportunities with current and potential customers.
Responsibilities:
Working jointly with other team members to maintain and grow relationships and sales with existing customers
Develop new accounts and grow their product lines within their territory
Establish and maintain good working relationships with our vendors, focusing on customer service as a key priority
Address and resolve questions and concerns by providing assistance with product selection as well as information and technical support for their product lines
Answer customer questions, issue quotes, process orders and provide assistance with product selection
Assist in developing sales strategies and solutions
Maintain and continue to improve your technical and product knowledge, know your product lines and assist with ongoing product training for co-workers
Assist when needed at local or national trade shows where your product specialty is displayed
Requirements:
Two to three years sales and/or marketing experience
Bachelor?s Degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
A strong technical background. Specific industry experience including pump exposure and instrumentation experience is preferred
Industrial sales experience in the distribution, manufacturing or engineering industries
Excellent interpersonal, communication problem solving and presentation skills
Good organizational, written and analytical skills
The ability to work independently as well as on a team
Some travel required
