Accounting Assistant Job Opening in Canoga Park, California - The Accounting Assistant will provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. Ensuring that the company?s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. Must be experienced in QuickBooks and be able to work for regular hours on a part-time basis. Position is 15-20 hours per week onsite.
Requirements
Prepare billing, issuing of checks, bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
Credit card statements, bank reconciliations
Accounts payable & receivable, working with spreadsheets
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing and be physically able to work with a personal computer on a daily basis.
Qualifications
High School/AA degree or related field experience
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures
Computer skills required in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Outlook and QuickBooks
Be able to navigate through the internet
