Pacific Coast Companies, Inc. in Rancho Cordova, CA is accepting applications for a Financial Accountant I . This position is responsible for completing the accounting functions of Pacific Coast Companies, Inc. on an accurate and timely basis within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the Pacific Coast Companies, Inc. (PCCI) Chief Financial Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Analyze, audit and reclassify costs for all cost/profit centers with PCCI
Prepare post month-end closing entries for PCCI, including insurance, payroll and miscellaneous accruals
Prepare the financial statement book for PCCI, including all related reports
May prepare special reports and analysis as requested by management
Assist the Accounting Supervisor with preparation of the yearly budgets
May be responsible for one or more of the following: Fixed Asset Accounting; Benefit Plan Accounting; Tax Accounting; Income Tax Accounting; or Treasury Accounting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to comprehend and apply basic principles of finance and accounting. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of algebra and statistics.
Must be able to operate a personal computer and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties. Must have some knowledge of accounting and general ledger system.
