Senior Accountant & SCM Associate Job Opening in New York, New york - SUMMARY
The supply chain coordinator and senior accountant will provide operational support for one or more key accounts. This position acts as primary communication & operations liaison between Customer, Sales, Allocations, Distribution Center & Transportation, working along with CFO to achieve sales goals & maximize account profitability for assigned account(s). Provides effective customer service support and order coordination from forecast to confirmed shipping. The Specialist will be the primary Wholesale Operation team liaison & support initiatives as needed. In addition administrative support + office management needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree in business management or similar required with 3-6 yrs. experience.
Ability to analyze data and make determinations to proactively identify business opportunities.
Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous work history.
Professional demeanor at all times
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Strong problem solving skills and team player.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, clients/customers & vendors.
General computer operation with centralized financial systems and proficiency in use of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong oral communication and written skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage life cycle of sales orders from forecast to fulfillment (PO, EDI, order entry, & booking, etc.).
Create, maintain and generate seasonal allocation promotions, coordinating with Sales and Marketing as needed.
Perform daily general ledger functions such as cash and trading account reconciliation.
Assist monthly close process.
Manage operational relationship as business needs and strategize cross functionally with supply chain leaders and channel planning partners.
Provide daily, weekly and monthly updates regarding order status.
Prepare sales and use tax filing.
Involvement in ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
Trouble shoot orders are appropriate.
Provide product information and availability on customer by customer basis.
Manage all documents by e-storage.
Accounting support, conduct accounting bookkeeping for company?s expenses.
Provide assistance to other administrative support team members as needed
Sales support, proposals, request for quotes, customer contracts.
Travel as needed to oversee company assets.
Performs other related duties as directed
