Responsibilities:
Releases advance product components and/or line of products
Diagnoses and corrects deficiencies on the line while maintaining project/operational budgets (cost control)
Provides technical direction to support personnel; coordinates supportive build, test and or development programs
Coordinates engineering projects with other departments and/or divisions
Works with external suppliers, contractors and/or customers on a regular basis
Keeps well informed of trends and new technology in the market sector
Partners with senior management to analyze and solve production / process issues
Qualifications Required:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, specializing in Controls Systems Design or Software Engineering; BSEE degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years? experience writing software and / or electrical design for automation systems and CNC
Advanced understanding with multiple of the following programming environments; PLC ladder logic (Siemens, Rockwell and GE Fanuc), robotic controllers, vision systems and HMI design tools
Experience troubleshooting equipment during all project phases and developing system electrical schematics
Good understanding of CNC, robotics, control systems, vision systems and machine operation
Must be willing to work shifts other than days as well as support potential weekend requirements and holidays
Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills to deal with unusual and difficult problems
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills; able to work effectively with others
