Cloud Software Engineer Job Opening in Ann Arbor, Michigan - Notion, a recently launched software startup is seeking a developer to join our backend cloud team. You will be working closely with the development team to build backend infrastructure and the API that our apps consume. Beyond your skills as a developer, our perfect candidate is someone who obsesses about performance, geeks out about building applications that scale, and wants to solve problems with massive volumes of data.

Responsibilities
Participate in development to execute on product deliverables and help drive architectural decisions and development priorities
Take start-to-finish technical ownership of features and/or applications from inception to delivery
Work with mobile and desktop development teams to deliver product functionality through our API
Evaluate code for security, quality, and performance issues
Skills & Requirements
Outstanding engineering talent proven by great results, interesting hobby projects, open source contributions, or superior academic results
At least two years of experience with software development
Strong grasp of Linux and database technologies
A degree in computer science or similar is a plus, but not required
Bonus points for:
Recent PHP (7+) development experience
Experience with multi server cloud applications
Experience building REST based API's
