Senior Accountant Job Opening in Roxboro, North carolina - REPORTS TO: CFO
MISSION:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for working alongside the CFO and other members of the Accounting and Finance Department to keep the company and its related entities financially organized. This position will support the daily accounting and reconciliation requirements related to cash recording and financial reporting for multiple entities. Responsibilities include general ledger accountability, financial reporting and analysis, fixed asset schedule maintenance, and other functions as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
General ledger accountability including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, account balancing and financial statement preparation
Prepare the monthly balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statement
Maintain fixed asset schedules detailing cost, depreciation, accumulated depreciation, and track fixed asset additions and disposals
Work with outside CPA to complete annual financial statements
Prepare bank, government, and other reports as required
Prepare budgets and financial benchmark reports for management
Evaluate company processes, systems and policies for continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
5 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in MS Excel
Self-directed with a strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
Ability and desire to learn internal company systems and software
Possess strong communication skills
Adhere to company and departmental policies

HOURS AND SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position of at least 40 hours per week
