It?s a busy time here at Squats and Science - we?re developing new products, hosting hacknights, and growing our brand by bringing data and metrics to the strength fitness world. We need a motivated, talented, and passionate software engineering intern to help us fill the gaps and create incredible products.
This intern will be given various tasks pertaining to our software development and social networking. They can expect to gain engineering experience by:
Developing and shipping Android and iOS applications via React Native
Working with functional programming via Redux
Interfacing with a hardware device via Bluetooth
Managing an open source project
Processing lifting data such as average velocity, peak velocity, peak velocity location, and range of motion
Organizing hack nights at our gym/office where local engineering talent can come in and create
Working directly with actual users in our gym facility
Working with top powerlifting coaches in the country to build experimental coaching features
Must have:
3+ years engineering background
Flexible schedule
Experience in JavaScript and React
Good communication skills & professionalism
Passion for software engineering
Nice to have:
React Native experience
Machine Learning experience
Prior software engineering experience
Interest in fitness, especially strength training
