Don't let it pass you by! BREANDAN McEWEN Hello there, my name is Breandan. I am a veteran General Contractor and Roofer of 17 years, nationwide. I manage two construction companies in the DFW area. One is a roofing company, and the other is a sheet metal manufacturing company. My job is to fortify the businesses via state of the art technology and proven efficient practices. And of course... sales! I have had hundreds of sales agents (both men and women of all backgrounds) work for me over the years and I have paid out over $15M dollars in commissions to these hard working individuals. I know the products and the markets very well. Roofing and sheet metal are sustainable industries that always have work, no matter what. Every structure in the world needs a roof, and hail can destroy them all, instantly. The average life of a residential roof is 30 years and a commercial roof is 17 years. These roofs need repaired and replaced, the question is who is going to get the work? Here is the mechanics of the opportunity. And I want you to remember one very important aspect: I PROVIDE ALL TRAINING NECESSARY TO BE SUCCESSFUL! 1. LEAD GENERATION: This is accomplished by canvassing (roofing) or cold calling (sheet metal). I have detailed weather reports that indicate the exact locations of where hail storms have hit, and the size of the hail. We focus on hail that is 1.25" or larger. We know that these areas have guaranteed damage and we present a "free roof inspection" to a home owner at the door. We are not selling anything. When explained properly, it is a "no brainer". When cold calling for sheet metal sales, a different pitch is used but the result is the same. If you only are interested in working leads generation, you can make around $10 per lead, and if the opportunity results in a sale, a bonus of $100 is paid to you. This is called a "back end" commission. I have canvassers that make $200 or more a day for working 4 hours or so in the evening. Then they enjoy a nice back end check of $2k to $4k or more, paid monthly or as jobs are completed. 2. ROOF INSPECTIONS / INSURANCE CLAIMS: This is where the sales aspect of the opportunity starts to take shape. With a little bit of training, you can learn to identify hail and wind damage on roofs. If you find the proper type and quantity of damage, then we recommend to the home owner that they file an insurance claim. We then return to the home when the insurance adjuster comes out to assess the damage. We are there to advocate for the home owner and get ALL the damage to the roof and property (fencing, gutters, windows, siding, bbq's, etc.) paid for with the proper amounts of money. This service is still FREE to the home owner and when they see how hard you are working for them, the sale is in the bag. You are basically setting up your own successful deal, while building rapport with the customer. 3. CLOSING: Now that the project is configured, the insurance company will issue a damage and compensation report known as an "adjustment". You organize this work in to a proposal to the home owner. You thoroughly explain the company that you work for, and enlist the confidence in yourself and our abilities to provide a great roofing experience. Get that customer to sign on the dotted line, and they hand over the check that the insurance company provided to them. YOU HAVE JUST MADE MONEY! You will need to consult the customer on their product options and colors. Turn the job over to the company to get built, and get the final check once the project is complete. Then. . . and this is important, SMILE. All the way to the bank! You are a consultant and a well paid professional! Here is an example matrix of commissions and compensations for both roofing and sheet metal sales: AVERAGE COST OF A RESIDENTIAL ROOF IN THE DFW: $9,500 AVERAGE COMMISSION EARNED PER ROOF: New agents 5% = $x, Veterans 10% = $950 AVERAGE TIME SPENT PER SALE: 3 hours = $142 to $317 / hr (Attorneys and Doctors wages!)
