Sales Representative Job Opening in Livonia, Michigan - Job Summary:
Located at the Corporate office in Livonia, Michigan, this position is responsible for coordinating all the program and sales activities between the manufacturing site in Bowling Green, KY and related domestic and international customers.
Essential Functions:
Requires constant physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing 50 lbs.
Build and foster excellent business relationships with OEM customers.
Lead presentation, quotation and negotiation process for new business through customer contacts.
Work with multiple teams both in Corporate office and at the manufacturing site in Bowling Green, KY, to manage programs and projects to ensure they are kept on track, within budget, and meet all deliverables.
Prepare departmental forecasts, budgets, and strategic account plans.
Schedule and host events at various locations for customer, Corporate office or manufacturing site or vendors.
Job Related Functions:
Self-starter, multi-tasked and detailed oriented. Work with many different types of documentation relating to customers, processes and company business. Good computer and math skills.
Observes all safety rules at customer and manufacturing facilities.
Understand design and technical workings of Kobelco extruded aluminum parts.
Approximately 40% domestic and international travel to customer sites as needed (trips of 2-3 days or longer).
Japanese language ability preferred, but not necessary.
4-5 years of industrial sales related experience, preferably in managerial positions.
Educational Requirements:
BA/BS degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering, Business or Management.
