About the Job
JETT Pump & Valve, L.L.C. is seeking an associate for Inside Sales Support and help with Operations coordination. The employee will be responsible for contacting and responding to customer contacts related to equipment purchase, repair, and replacement as brought forward by the Outside Sales Department, Service Department, and other leads. Ability to multi-task and learn on your feet is mandatory. An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all, but not limited to, the following essential functions:
Respond to customer inquiries via email, telephone, fax, or in-person regarding pricing, availability, and delivery time on a variety of different types of equipment from a variety of different suppliers.
Help maintain and update the service schedule for jobs and sales visits
Generate new sales leads for Outside Sales by utilizing lead building websites
Promote positive customer relations by confirming scheduling over the phone and via email as well as follow up with customer regarding recent service and sales visits.
Must be able to generate quotes/ proposals/ bids, based on available information utilizing Word, Excel, manufacturer data sheets, and inventory control programming.
Assist in the research and development of bids from government and builders exchange lists
Develop and respond to needs for purchase submitting e.g. ?As-Builts,? O&M Manuals, and training program submissions
Develop take-offs and assist in ordering parts for new jobs.
Assist in the creation and completion of orders and projects by completing sales orders, purchase orders, sending order acknowledgements, and following up with customers.
Attention at the morning meetings and respond to needs developed by field service technicians including responding to items and issues found on-site, quoting additional work, and following up with the customer.
Answering phones, creating quotes, entering orders, and assisting with inventory control.
Ability to perform additional related work as directed.
Preform follow up on sales leads and proposals
Ideal Candidate
The Candidate must:
High school diploma or equivalent
Have moderate to advanced reading, writing, and math skills
Be knowledgeable in the use of a computer and have applied experience in Microsoft & with PCs
Ability to use basic office equipment including: copier, fax machine, calculator, scanner, multi-line phones
Have a minimum of one year?s customer service experience
Ability to understand basic mechanical and electrical theories
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, use good judgement, have initiative and use resourceful ability.
Candidate MUST be able to pass a drug/ alcohol screening and background check and have a valid Driver?s License and reliable transportation. The Candidate must be able to maintain the required level of activity to achieve the assigned goals without supervision and be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and customers.
