Sr. Financial Analyst Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Coolibar continues to grow. We are adding a new position within our Finance/Accounting team. Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for completing complex financial analysis to support the development of the annual operating plan, quarterly financial forecast and the strategic plan for the overall business, teams and channels. Perform ad-hoc analyses and/or supports cross-functional projects, playing critical role in partnering with key business leaders to provide analytical support, define strategic growth opportunities and enhances current operations. This position reports to the VP, Finance and works closely with the CEO.
Essential Functions
Provide Finance support and analytical expertise in strategic planning, economic modeling and scenario analysis for all aspects of the business.
Act as internal consultant for business analytics, strategy and deep dive analysis across multiple departments. Identify trends, provide value-added analysis, commentary, and recommendations as appropriate. Problem solve by being able to break down problems into critical components.
Lead departmental expense budgeting processes, and the financial aspects of strategic business planning as part of the overall budgeting and planning processes.
Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement, forecasts, etc.) comparing to company goals and budgets. Coordinate financial planning activities, including annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Drive various types of ad-hoc analysis across channels and departments, understanding the effects of decisions on daily business, key initiatives.
Develop, refine, operate and maintain analytical systems and tools utilize existing historical and predictive analytics models. Develop and execute process schedules, formats, templates and outputs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, key assumptions, performance drivers; communicate relevant financial analysis and findings, productively engaging with management, teammates and partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
3-7 years of applicable analytical experience, experience in retail, apparel or inventory planning a plus
Power user in Excel and databases. Experience with SAP Business 1 and Crystal Report writer preferred. ERP and report writing abilities are required
The ideal candidate should be highly scalable, possess excellent analytical, critical thinking and communication skills and strong financial systems knowledge
Ability to present analysis/financial reports and insights to business leaders
Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
Candidates should be comfortable with navigating through ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, working and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced evolving environment
Possess ability to build relationships across all levels and teams within the company
Works well as a team player and an individual contributor
