Sales Administrator Job Opening in Worcester, Massachusetts - At the Quality Inn and Suites and Suburban Extended Stay Hotel Worcester, MA, we are in search of a Sales Administrator to lead the sales effort for the hotel, including assisting the General Manager in securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and assist in executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sells hotel guestrooms groups and conference space through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues and profits.
Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract.
Conducts tours of the hotel facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures
Logs all sales efforts efficiently and is highly organized.
Generates and distributes weekly reporting of sales efforts, and participates in weekly revenue strategy meetings
Occasionally assists General Manager with operational assignments within hotel.
Job Requirements:
- Hotel Experience is a MUST
- 2+ years hotel experience within the corporate/ group market.
- Strong skills.
- Strong knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office 2013
- Choice Hotels Systems/ Sales Pro experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and superior guest service skills.
- Actively participate in industry related organizations.
- Must have flexible work schedule and be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Must have valid US Drivers license and adequate transportation
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
- Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
