Job description:
We are seeking a motivated and energetic sales representative out of our Jackson, MI office. The territory includes Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Canada. Approximately half of the time will be spent in the office and the other half visiting customers. Company car provided for business related travel. This is a full-time salaried position.
Duties:
Expansion of sales and maintenance of the existing accounts
Meet with clients often and develop strong customer relations with key personnel in engineering, maintenance, and purchasing departments
Communicate technical questions and issues between customer and supplier
Review blueprints and specifications from customer and decide course of action
Find new suppliers and work with existing suppliers to increase value to customers
Track open line items for customers from start to finish by pushing suppliers to keep due dates and informing customers of schedule changes
Provide monthly and biannual reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Travel overnight approximately once per month
Package and deliver items to customers in close proximity
Produce paperwork for domestic and international shipments
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree or 2+ years industrial sales experience
Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Prior industrial sales and blueprint reading skills are a plus
Comfortable working with other cultures
Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills are a must
Valid driver?s license
