Inside Sales, Technical Job Opening in Cleveland, Ohio - Position Summary
The Inside Sales, Technical position serves as a product application expert and primary technical resource for company products; interacts with Sales & Marketing, New Business & Product Development regarding the understanding of how products & plumbing systems work, assists customers unmet needs, presents ideas for new products and potential new applications for company products. As well as provide technical assistance to sales/customers with respect to the use of company products.
Position Responsibilities
Provide fast action support to customers with a primary focus on engineers and specification representatives.
Provide product information, capabilities, product recommendations, troubleshooting and cross-references of competitor?s products to the Sales team and customers.
Assist Marketing and New Product Development in identifying new products, key product attributes, design features and product qualifications as they apply to plumbing systems.
Develop and deliver training for products and their use, both internally and directly to our Sales Reps. and customers. Assist Marketing and Sales with technical presentations.
Visit customers and select shows to understand the market and corresponding products.
Knowledge and Experience
Preferred ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of plumbing experience in the residential and commercial construction industries.
In-depth knowledge of plumbing code requirements and recognized standards for plumbing products.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints relating to plumbing.
Demonstrated business acumen typically acquired via a degree in business or engineering.
Seasoned level of experience in customer safety and product liability.
Ability to work within timelines and pressure situations, handle multiple and competing priorities, generate fresh ideas and a can-do attitude.
Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, demonstrated analytical abilities, and customer service capabilities. Ability to quickly analyze data and create succinct presentations tailored to the audience at hand.
Ability to develop, implement and train on standard operating procedures as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion to sustain changes for the processes changed or developed.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Excellent written communication skills.
Education and Certification
Licensed Plumber is preferred, but not required.
Good understanding of financial measurements.
