Junior Accountant Job Opening in Gastonia, North carolina - We are looking for a Junior Accountant to provide support to the Accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. Please note that at the first of the year we will be moving to another location SW of 485 (Steele Creek, Pineville, Ballantyne area)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data entry
Accounts payable
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transitions are recorded
Handling of cash receipts
Basic intercompany reconciliations
Corporate credit card reconciliations
Employee expense reports processing and audits
Assistance with month end close
Assistance with bank reconciliations
Assist in processing financial statements
Assist with payroll
Assist in miscellaneous accounting projects
Assist in miscellaneous HR projects
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field is preferred.
Experience:
Good understanding of US GAAP
Knowledge of internal controls and SOX
At least one year of general accounting experience
Quickbooks background is a MUST
Excellent knowledge of MS Office more specifically Excel
Skills:
