Title: Jr. Software Engineer

Essential Job Functions:
· Review daily workload in issue tracking tool (Atlassian JIRA) with Sr. Software Engineer
· Read design documentation and review technical plan with Sr. Software Engineer prior to making any changes
· Program changes according to approved technical plan, periodically checking in stable work to source control system (Apache SVN)
· Participate in peer code review (JetBrains UpSoure)- Prizes are given each month for best peer code review performance!
· Perform unit testing of changes
· React to any issues uncovered in the continuous integration (JetBrains TeamCity), automated testing processes (Selenium) and manual testing process
· Review finished product with Sr. Software Engineer and make adjustments as needed
· Work closely with JDi staff to help create a culture of continuous improvement and serve as an advocate of best quality practices and methods
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Unparalleled attention to detail
· Additional experience with JQGrid and MVC is a plus
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor?s Degree (or in pursuit of) in Computer Science or closely related field
· 2+ years? experience in a relevant position and object oriented design paradigm
· 1+ years? experience using Microsoft software development in the C# programming language (ideally in WebForms)
· 1+ years? experience with JavaScript and JQuery
· 1+ years? experience with SQL Language, ideally using Microsoft SQL Server
· 1+ years? experience with AJAX and CSS
· Proficiency with MS Office and MS operating systems (Windows 7 & Windows 10) required
