Accounting Assistant Job Opening in Surrey, North dakota - Position Title : Accounting Assistant/Support Accountant

Objective : The purpose of role is to provide support to the Controller by taking responsibility for various tasks and processes.
Key Job Duties :
Ability to run full Accounting Cycle.
Proficient and accurate entry of manual invoicing in accounting software, checking for
GST/PST charged.
Communicating with staff and vendors to resolve invoice issues.
Reconciling bank statement and inquire about any discrepancies on daily/weekly basis.
Reconciling vendor account and inquire about any discrepancies statement.
Prepare batches for accounts payable, assist with printing cheque for invoice payment.
Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid balances.
Mailing, Filing and organizing all documents appropriately after payments.
Stocking and Inventory of vehicles.
Other Duties as required :
Keep track of all office requirements, ordering supplies when running low.
Other duties as assigned by the management.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Required Skills/Knowledge :
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required
College diploma required
Solid foundation of accounting concepts and procedures
Previous experience in dealership is preferred (not required)
Intermediate level skills in MS Office suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including ability to analyze and solve any issue in a creative manner.
Able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment while focusing on accuracy and timeliness.
Skilled with verbal, written and email communications in English
