Assistant Facilities Technician Job Opening in Twin Falls, Idaho - As one of the largest public refrigerated warehousing companies in the U.S., Henningsen Cold Storage delivers award-winning refrigerated logistics through a national warehouse network totaling more than 53 million cubic feet of multi-temperature controlled storage.
We currently have an opening on our engineering team for an Assistant Facilities Technician. This is a hands-on position that will perform general maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse under the direction of the Chief Engineer. Areas of responsibility include refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and forklift repair.

Support all SQF/Food Safety programs
Identify cost saving and productivity enhancing opportunities, support continuous improvement efforts.
Maintain/repair industrial ammonia refrigeration equipment including compressors, pumps, piping, fans, valves and motors.
Maintain and repair building and grounds assets, including building floors, walls, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, fixtures, concrete/asphalt pavement, plumbing systems, and fencing.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various types of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, floor sweeper/scrubbers, and industrial batteries. Consists of changing hydraulic oils and filters, lubrication of masts and other moving parts, putting water in batteries, taking battery voltage and specific gravity readings, etc.
Maintain and repair loading dock equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic dock levelers, trailer restraints, dock doors, interior lights, and driver safety indicator lights.
Troubleshoot, and repair of electrical systems, replace lamps, fuses, solenoid coils and other basic electrical devices as needed.
Test, maintain and evaluate equipment and system performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, thermometers and pressure gauges. Test and calibrate refrigeration control system sensors.
Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, gear pullers, jacks, drill press, band saw, screw gun, grinder, welders, torch, electric drill, impact wrench.
Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use tools safely as instructed.
Training Requirements:
Shall be trained and competent on GMP, SQF, HACCP, Internal Auditor, Allergens, Crisis Management, Forklift Driving, Safety requirements.
Shall meet Training Requirements detailed in the Training Program
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED and three years general maintenance or mechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering or applicable trade preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel preferred
Budgeting and other basic business function experience helpful.
Good driving record for past three years required.
Awareness of safety regulations and programs.
RETA CARO or CIRO certification Preferred.
Ability to work on call, or respond after hours required
Idaho Electrical Specialty Journeyman license preferred or other state license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate is frequently required to:
