Bookkeeper Job Opening in Lyndhurst, New jersey - Medical company is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to provide support to the accounting department with flexible hours.
The right candidate:
Will be well-versed with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word
Have strong principles background.
Generally works very well with little or no supervision
Have very strong attention to detail and always checking for accuracy
Have the ability to reconcile multiple types of accounts in a reasonable time frame and promptly investigate discrepancies
Have analytical skills - will be required to analyze and help identify in data including customer and vendor balances so that remedial action is taken.
Is very teachable and flexible
Extremely trustworthy - candidate may handle some confidential data
Duties entail:
Accounts Receivable ? Record sales, record payments, record deposits, record refunds, and credits and maintain accurate customer balances. Look up credit card payments in online merchant accounts to identify each payer in a batch and correctly record in QuickBooks. Investigate discrepancies promptly.
Accounts payable -- assist with bills and other charges to maintain correct vendor balances, update vendor lists as needed, etc. Monthly vendor account reconciliations
Credit card transactions: assist with downloading, proper coding and entry with accounts and class locations. unclear transactions promptly.
Assist with credit cards or other account reconciliations as requested.
Assist with filing, organizing, and other tasks as needed (some training will be provided where necessary).
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
