General Accounting Manager/Controller/Billing Manager Job Opening in Elizabeth, New jersey - General Overview
Growing Multi-location dermatology practice is looking to add a Controller reporting directly to the CEO. The Controller is responsible for the production of accurate and timely company financial statements in accordance with GAAP and the oversight of all company books and records.
Controller will oversee the development of all daily financial controls across all locations.
Oversee the implementation of a more sophisticated cost accounting methodology across multiple locations, providers and service lines.
Controller will oversee Accounts Payable and fixed asset functions ensuring expenditures are accounted for properly and authorized properly. Controller will help define financial authorization policy.
Purchase requisition, receipt of goods and inventory management for multi-site practice.
Supports CEO with analysis of historical results, forecasting and analysis as needed. Controller must have strong command of Excel.
Controller will report directly to the CEO and oversee one bookkeeper.
Controller who has experience with medical billings will be a huge plus.

Assure that all accounts are stated accurately. Verify the integrity of data for all operating system general ledger interfaces and reports. Prepare timely monthly financial statements including the analysis of company performance vs. prior periods, years and budget. Prepare and analyze cash flow reports.
Recommends process and control enhancements to general accounting functions to promote efficiencies, decrease closing time and allow more timely and useful data to CEO.
Manage the Accounts Payable function. Review all invoices for proper account coding in accordance with company financial requirements. Determine that all expenditures are approved per financial authorization policy.
Performs other duties as assigned and directed with minimal oversight.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required, CPA required and MBA a plus.
4-7 years of accounting experience. Experience with QuickBooks but also other enterprise-capable GL packages. Experience in an accounting position with specific experience in general ledger, financial reporting and analysis preferred. Experience in staff supervision and team leadership
Excellent written and oral communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel capabilities.
