We primarily service our clients in the NY an NJ area as well nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).
Our client is a Fortune 500 life sciences organization headquartered in the Bridgewater, NJ area and they are currently looking for a Staff Accountant. They are currently looking for a career minded individual who is capable of handling a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
Monitor accounting staff performing general accounting functions
Overseeing the A/P & A/R process
Assist in preparing the annual budget and streamlining processes with various teams to ensure regulation.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of all accounts
Ensure strict adherence to all compliance and regulatory filings
Expense reporting across multiple functions
Review and enhance accounting processes and general ledger capabilities
Qualifications:
2-6 years of general accounting experience
CPA or working towards
SAP, Oracle, Great Plains or other financial system experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Quickbooks, MS Office Suite, CRM software; Excel knowledge a must (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT functions, pivot tables)
