Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in Columbus, Ohio - My client, a globally recognized Medical Device company in the Columbus, Ohio area, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. My client is a highly reputable medical device company that is best known for their working in manufacturing disposable medical devices. They deliver a vast catalogue of innovative tools throughout the industry and have been most revered for their tube-feeding devices.
This Senior Software Engineer position will be an 18 month contract in the Columbus, Ohio area that can pay between $55-$75 per hour based on prior levels of industry experience. As a Senior Software Engineer, this individual will be responsible for the product development software & hardware engineering as well as providing strong insight throughout the software development life cycle. Additionally, they will be responsible for leading a team through the requirements gathering process, designing and architecting out those requirements, coding, reviewing code, and testing this software.
As a Senior Software Engineer, this candidate would be responsible for:
Developing and maintaining the maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets for multiple product launch initiatives
Writing test plans and reports to evaluate products verses specification
Developing, designing, and testing software for an electromechanical device
Writing test plans and reports to evaluate products verses specifications
Leading a team throughout the software development lifecycle
The most desirable candidates for the Software Engineer position will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a similar degree
5+ years of medical device experience
5+ years of developing embedded software
Strong understanding of software, hardware, and user experience testing
2+ years of leadership experience
