C++ Developer III Job Opening in Cincinnati, Ohio - Position Description: Senior software engineer responsible for full life cycle development of software that supports a data analytics layer within a proprietary third party tech stack. The individual will be part of a team with differing technical skills to service this tech stack. Collectively the team will be implementing new features as well as performing ongoing maintenance. The individual must be comfortable with Agile development and a generally fast paced and demanding environment.
Position/Project Specific Skills/Requirements: 7+ years of C++ with multi-threaded applications; strong experience with STD; good competency with memory be comfortable developing on Linux. Familiar with GCC and data skills, strong experience with SQL. They must be comfortable working with, managing, and manipulating large data sets.
Position/Project Specific Preferences/Desires: Desirable if they have R and Python skills. Also desirable if they have past software/data experience in the domain: retail/grocery.
Other Essential Job Functions:
They must be able to learn on the job with little documentation. They must be able to work independently with little supervision and/or direction but also be able to mentor and pair with other developers to increase their own knowledge and skills as well as others on the team.
