Medical Receptionist Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - Position Summary: Critical Care, Pulmonary and Sleep Associates, LLP is a multi specialty private physician practice, providing Critical Care, Pulmonary and Sleep Disorder services to the Denver area for over 40 years. Our dedicated team of Board Certified Pulmonary and Sleep Physicians and skilled Clinic Staff work throughout six clinic locations that span Colorado. CCPSAs company ethos is to exemplify excellent patient centered care, with a unified teamwork approach in all clinic operations. We are currently seeking two Receptionists to join our wonderful team of professionals.
This position is an essential administrative support role within CCPSAs Clinic Staff Team. Receptionists provide superior secretarial/ reception services to patients, staff, and physicians in a supportive and caring manner. They effectively coordinate and organize appointments, as well as documentation to ensure all clinics runs smooth to deliver quality care. It is necessary that within this role, the Receptionists cultivate and supports a strong team culture and collaborative environment centered on consistently delivering exceptional patient care. We are hiring for both our Lakewood and Porter Clinic locations.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks Receptionist:
Effectively perform a wide range of duties, that are confidential and critical to the clinic.
Check patients in and out for their appointments.
Inform patients of balances owed on their account and print out bill if needed.
Collect copay?s.
Assist patients with portal login information.
Prepare charts for new patients and follow up patients.
Contact PCP regarding referrals for new and follow up patients.
Establish patient follow-up reminder recalls in EMR
Contact patients to schedule new patient and follow-up appointments.
Scan, label faxes, and file new patient paper work into ICS.
Answers incoming phone calls, returns voice mails, and transfers calls to correct staff members.
Add hospital procedures in doctor?s schedule as needed (Bronchoscopy, E-BUS, Thoracentesis)
Gather discharge summary for death certificates, and obtains physician?s signature.
Obtain patients medical records from hospital data base.
Collect and distribute mail within office and deliver to different clinics.
Skills, Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Medical office front desk experience a must! No exceptions!
HIPPA and OSHA compliant
Medical terminology
Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with staff, and patients
Detail oriented, ensure accurate documentation and care is implemented for all patients
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary patient care
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to drive between clinic locations for meetings.
Ability to sit for extended time periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
