Patient Safety Coordinator Job Opening in Murrieta, California - The Patient Safety Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating activities relating to infection prevention and control, quality control and performance improvement, and risk management. The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Center?s leadership team to maintain compliance with accrediting, licensing, and governing agency expectations.
Job Requirements
Skills: Minimum 3 years of acute care/infection control experience and/or data collection and performance improvement/risk management experience. Should have experience with adult education, basic statistics, and epidemiological principles. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, esp. Excel, and Word. Knowledge and experience in areas of surgical patient care practices, , , patient education, statistics, communication, and program administration. Able to employ a variety of performance improvement tools including proactive and retrospective approaches to improving quality and patient safety.
Required : Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or attends approved infection control training courses, to include APIC Basic and ASC, or Certification preparation courses. Minimum 1 year QA/PI experience preferred; Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
