Data Processor Job Opening in San Diego, California - Job Summary
Responsible for the accurate abstraction and scanning of key Electronic Medical Records Data sets. Supports the Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementation process to ensure the accuracy of data abstracted and scanned into the EHR system. Works to ensure the timeliness of the data conversion process. Manages MA Scans, incoming faxes, consult reports and release of records requests for assigned clinic.
Qualifications:
: Minimum High School Diploma or proof of G.E.D. Satisfactory completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent. Word Processing and Computer experience. Knowledge of medical terminology desired. Current CPR through the American Heart Association. Experience Minimum: One-year of experience in healthcare and understand basic medical terminology, medications and abbreviations. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation; proficient with computers and data entry, sort and file materials correctly by alpha and numeric systems. Possesses an understanding of EHR and health information. Preferred: Two or more years of clinical experience in healthcare and understand basic medical terminology, medications and abbreviations. Other Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in English. Has a strong sense of urgency; ability and drive to get tasks completed. Able to work independently without requiring close supervision. Must be able to travel to different clinical sites.
