Business Development Associate Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - WAVE (Wireless Advanced Vehicle Electrification, Inc.) is the leading provider of en-route wireless power charging solutions that overcome traditional battery limitations in electric vehicles by delivering wireless power using electrical infrastructure embedded in the roadway and vehicle-mounted receivers.
WAVE is seeking a talented, versatile, and self-motivated individual that has the ability to help analyze and grow market position, create and build client relationships, and develop new business. This key contributor to the business development team will engage in high-level sales through the development of customer partnerships. The ideal candidate will have sales planning and sales execution skills, customer, OEM, contract management, presentation skills, and the ability to function professionally in a start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support business development sales efforts by collaborating with senior management, operations and engineering, across the organization.
Coordinate and communicate with partner, including vehicle OEMs, transit agencies, and other strategic partners.
Oversee grant application process.
Develop and refine tool for tracking new business development opportunities.
Research and develop new market opportunities and staying current with industry trends.
Prepare and track project proposals, including new project contract development.
Working with WAVE operations on project delivery and cost details.
Coordination with WAVE counsel on contract development.
Marketing management: coordinating with external marketing partners, coordinating with WAVE partners on project launch and marketing, coordinate website updates and improvements including developing web-enabled tools for current and future customers
Key Competencies:
Ability to balance multiple projects while exhibiting superior time-management skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills including the ability to synthesize financial and strategic analysis into comprehensive presentations for executive staff.
Excellent analytical abilities, financial analysis and modeling skills are a plus.
Ability to research, analyze, and customize proposals for target organizations.
Excel experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high growth start up environment.
Experience in finance, marketing, and/or accounting.
BS in a technical field is required.
Working on degree in business or related field of study is a plus.
Initial position will be part-time, with opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
Some travel may be required
