Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Summary :
The AR Specialist is a fast paced position and is responsible for a variety of accounting and customer service functions including, but not limited to: answering billing inquiries, processing payments, negotiating payment arrangements, handling of incoming/outbound calls of customers/patients with exceptional customer service. This position includes a high level of customer/patient interaction, partnering effectively with other departments, verifying records and data entry. Additional aspects of role include the ability to effectively multi-task, organize and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. The successful candidate acts with a sense of urgency to complete all assigned tasks on a daily basis. This position requires the efficient use of a desktop computer and common office software.
Skill-set and desired experience :
Exceptional people skills; ability to communicate effectively.
Must have excellent phone etiquette skills. (Polite and respectful)
Acts with a sense of urgency in all assigned tasks.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines; and effectively work under pressure.
Processing of payments, data entry, insurance verification.
Must have demonstrated attention to detail; completes work accurately and efficiently.
Ability to make sound decisions and use of good judgment.
Demonstrated experience in working efficiently with desktop computers and common software (like MS Excel and Word).
Must be a self-starter; able to work effectively with little supervision.
Maintain a clean and neat work area.
Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
Medical insurance desired, but not required.
Must have ability to clearly explain medical billing inquiries using exceptional phone etiquette.
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus; but not required.
Education :
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
Associates Degree desired; but not required
