Credentialing Specialist Job Opening in Saint George, Utah - Looking for a part-time credentialing specialist for our office in St George. Position will be around 25 hours per week. Compensation will be competitive. Responsibilities:
Oversee and/or perform all aspects of the licensing and credentialing for all of our physicians and providers who are prospective and active members of our medical staff.
Collects and analyzes information, prepares files for approval process and ensures that credentialing files are kept accurate, complete and current.
Assists in the credentialing process for medical staff, health professionals, and visiting physicians, etc. Work with medical staff leadership and clinical staff for the approval and ongoing review of these practitioners.
Ensures malpractice applications are submitted on a timely basis with the carrier to ensure the appropriate level of coverage is maintained for all medical staff members.
Responds to outside inquires for credentialing information concerning our medical staff.
Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner within 3 rings
General reception/accounts payable responsibilities.
Looking for someone with at least a year of medical billing or credentialing experience.
