Job Description Summary:
Analyze and interpret information on plans and specifications and construction documents.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for use in determining estimates and project budgets.
Learn products to determine how to bid material per plans and specifications
Utilizing spreadsheets for estimating and word documents for writing proposals
Managing bids including checking for addendums, preparing and updating quotes
Communicate with other team members outside sales, customers and vendors
Consistently follow up and monitor all quotations, sales orders and projects
Purchasing experience is required.
Perform other office miscellaneous duties.
Perform inside sales and outside sales as requested.
Requirements/skills:
Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook is required
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to learn and retain large amounts of product information
Mathematical aptitude is needed
Ability to use keyboard and calculator
Ability to multitask with high attention to detail
Ability to use common sense and reasoning when solving problems
Maintain a positive attitude
Customer Service oriented
HVAC industry experience is a plus.
We offer a base salary plus commission, paid holidays after 90 days and vacations after one year
of employment.
