CDFS offers an incredible growth and income opportunity for the right highly motivated, innovative, entrepreneurial sales professional to lead our business development initiatives. The ability to pursue new accounts is more important than past experience but a background in construction or estimating experience is considered a major plus.
While CDFS will be driving sales opportunities directly into the hands of our Sales Engineers, this integral member of the sales team will be keenly responsible for gaining new accounts.
Our corporate office is in Chestertown with our Sales Office in Owings Mills. You can work from this office and your home office to facilitate mobility.
This position is commission against draw and is very lucrative with no cap. CDFS pays for performance. Your results will determine your financial success at CDFS. This is a six-figure income opportunity. We have offices in Owings Mills and Chestertown, MD.
Responsibilities:
Be the technical expert on product offering and support the production team throughout all phases of the sales cycle.
Actively engage customers for technical needs during sales opportunities.
Expand Procurement office/general contractor footprint to build positive top of mind awareness.
Research and analyze key factors that may influence market activity within specific niche markets.
Responsible for ensuring field teams are meeting client expectations.
Update CRM with appropriate activity information and use excel, smartsheets, google drive etc.
Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to the CDFS management team.
Help develop and manage the execution of the sales plan.
Coordinate and manage sales process with CDFS marketing, estimator, project manager and senior management team.
Responsible for ensuring field teams are meeting client expectations.
Attend industry events, networking events and client meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
Technical sales experience (prefer 5+ years experience) in the construction industry or related to it with a successful track record.
Degree in Engineering.
Broad and in-depth business background with a reasonable working knowledge of the technical aspects of design/build construction.
Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations.
Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills.
Ability to travel as needed.
