Sales Representative Job Opening in Raleigh, North carolina - Responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts or regions. The fundamental purpose for this position is work as a team member to grow sales and build client relationships. This position will be the front-line contact between the company and the client. This position reports to the COO.
1. Exceed Sales Goals
2. Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
3. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
4. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
5. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
6. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
7. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
8. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
9. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
10. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
11. Identify and resolve client concerns.
12. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
13. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
14. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
15. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
16. Follow-up for collection of payment
17. Other duties as assigned
Communication, sales, and customer service skills
Excel basic functions.
Common business practices relating to the purchase, pricing, terms, shipment, taxes, and payment for products and services.
Build strong relationships with customers; understanding their business needs.
Must be able to communicate effectively with both written and oral methods such as email, phone calls, trade shows, etc.
Make consistently good scheduling decisions about visiting customers throughout the territory. Make efficient use of time and resources.
3-5 years of proven sales experience, valid driver?s license, college degree is preferred but not necessary
