Senior Property Accountant Job Opening in West Palm Beach, Florida - Job Description:
A growing West Palm Beach commercial real estate company is seeking a Senior Property Accountant. The candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day property accounting functions including: implementing company?s financial policies and procedures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, fixed assets, financial reporting and reporting to investors.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for full cycle accounts receivable, accounts payable.
Maintain, reconcile and administrate all general ledger accounts.
Prepare month-end close activities including balancing of books, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis for internal management and investors.
Maintain fixed assets and prepare monthly depreciation reports in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain schedule of Straight-line Rent Calculation Assist with all internal and external financial audits.
Maintain financial controls, processes and procedures to ensure company maintains high compliance with GAAP.
Provide management with timely reviews of organization?s financial status and progress.
Assist with special projects as required.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Accounting, MBA a plus; 5+ years of post-graduate business property accounting experience, demonstrating extensive experience in A/R, A/P, General Ledger and strong financial reporting skills; Positive team player with strong people skills; Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities; Self-starter; must have ability to work independently with minimum supervision; Strong proficiency in MS Office - with advanced skill level in Excel Must be proficient in Yardi and QuickBooks, MRI knowledge a plus; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
