Insurance Specialist Job Opening in Stuart, Florida - Very busy Vascular practice seeking a well rounded and goal oriented person to add to our office.
Main Responsibilities
Process encounters for daily services
Work directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to get claims processed and paid correctly
Verify insurance coverage
Obtain authorizations
Review/post EOB's, correct, and appeal unpaid and denied claims
Answer patients billing questions via inbound telephone calls.
Provide excellent customer service by quickly communicating accurate billing information.
Prioritize daily billing operations to ensure patients? needs are addressed promptly and with proper resolution.
Responsible for submission of insurance claims via electronic clearinghouse and paper claims
Run the A/R monthly and send out patient invoices
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
1+ years experience in medical billing
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel a plus.
Good organization and phone skills are essential
Ability to prioritize
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, modifiers and medical terminology.
Must understand Commercial insurances and Medicare regulations and guidelines
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Bilingual (not required)
