Home Manager (Licensed Homes) Position Available
Position Description
Department: Operations Location: Bangor, MI
Reports To: Regional Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
Aligned with the goals and mission of the organization, performing with the core values of the organization ? Equality, Respect and Excellence, and in compliance with The Joint Commission, Community Mental Health (CMH) and other governing bodies, managing home, residential, employee, financial and compliance related to BSLS home site. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory entities and accrediting agencies are consistently maintained.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversees all residential care staff related functions at assigned house site. This includes candidate interviews, staff evaluations, separations, and training new employees.
Ensures compliance with staff training and certifications to meet licensing standards, recipient rights, and TJC.
Communicates regularly with regional operations manager.
Monitors and maintains employee scheduling and time worked.
Manages house site budget, petty cash fund and resident funds.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of facility.
Works with the maintenance department to communicates all facility maintenance issues.
Oversees all administrative, clerical record keeping, clinical record keeping, medication administration, transportation, and coordination of care duties at assigned home site(s).
Communicates with all internal and external clinical, medical, and regulatory services.
Updates and maintains HR database with required documentation within 24 hours.
Submits daily entries in Nextstep and Quickmar EMR.
Attends client functions as scheduled and maintains regular client interaction.
Works with leadership and various functional areas in regard to leadership, compliance, residential care and employee performance management.
On-call responsibilities, maybe shared with other qualified residential care staff.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Adheres to BSLS Core Values, Mission Statement, and Corporate Philosophies.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor preferred or a minimum of 3 years of college coursework in business, social science, or a related human service discipline strongly preferred.
2-3 years previous leadership experience working in a healthcare or behavioral healthcare related field required.
1-2 years previous management or supervisory experience required.
Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
Required to maintain industry required trainings and TB screenings.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrates all core competencies related to MI, DD, Autism, etc.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to complete required training in connection with The Joint Commission, CHMs and other government bodies.
Must posses a valid Driver?s License.
Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language required.
Physical Job Requirements:
Typical office environment.
Ability to use office equipment.
Potential for physical aggression from residents exists.
Exposure to infectious disease.
Ability to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel required to visit BSLS facilities.
Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
Working Environment:
Work is performed in a home-like setting and in community facilities with potential of exposure to infectious disease. Universal precautions are required to minimize the risk of infections. Work sites may include locations that are not barrier-free. Duties are preformed in an environment where there is a potential for physical aggression from residents
