Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for the processing of accounts receivable, journal entries, revenue analysis and other accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is a key position in a 4-person department that prepares the financial reports for a fast-paced organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare documentation required for customer contracts and vendor registration; maintain vendor accounts, as needed.
Process all client invoices and Aged AR collection notifications.
Reconcile and process all client payments, including check deposits, EFTs, and credit cards.
Maintain related schedules, files, and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with organization policy and GAAP.
Respond to all customer inquiries.
Continuous system implementations and process improvements.
Assist with audit preparation and other GL projects, as required.
Support with Accounts Payable processing, as needed.
Filing, copying, answering phones, database entry, as needed.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years of experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting.
Previous experience with public and/or private sector contract review and management.
Ability to work independently, accurately and prioritize weekly and monthly job tasks.
Detail?oriented.
Very strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service to internal customers and vendors/clients.
Ability to identify and solve or escalate problems efficiently and quickly.
Ability to thrive in a complex, high paced environment.
Ability to perform data entry for up to 7 hours/day.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Competent with Word, Excel, Google Apps, and Salesforce.
Intacct or ERP Accounting Software preferred.
