Staff Accountant Job Opening in Redondo Beach, California - The Staff Accountant will be responsible for all Corporate GL functions, including preparing journal entries, asset and liability reconciliations, audit schedules and documentation requested by auditors, and assisting with internal management reporting requirements. In addition, this position will support purchasinh functions and lead ad-hoc projects as needed while working hand in hand with the Controller and other staff accountants.
We are currently looking for candidates who have the equivalent of 3+ years of work experience with GL accounting. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate they were top performers at their level.
Basic Qualifications
Degree in accounting or related field 3+ years of work experience with GL
accounting foundational knowledge of current GAAP standards.
Positive team player and independent worker.
Creative problem solver with a strong sense of urgency.
A self-motivated and solutions-oriented individual who is excited to help drive innovation and change.
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Retail Accounting experience General Ledger and QB POS software. Highly skilled in MS Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, etc) and can quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
