Solutions Sales Engineer ? Eastern USA (Relocate to Eastern... Job Opening in Scottsdale, Arizona - Position Summary
The Solutions Sales Engineer ? Eastern USA is responsible for a specific sales region. The SSE is chartered with growing sales revenues and increasing sales opportunities, partnerships, and design-wins by working within current, potential, and new customer accounts. This is accomplished via collaboration with the Channel Sales Manager, the Vertical Sales Managers, Inside sales personnel, and direct accounts. The SSE has as their priority goal that of increasing sales and market presence via providing innovative technical solutions that result in profitable sales revenues. By gaining an in-depth knowledge of the regional markets, cultivating new prospects, and technically supporting existing customers the SSE will help to guide Sales and the company?s other departments towards successful business and product development efforts.
The SSE is expected to help prioritize opportunities through their technical knowledge and understanding of solutions covering many different vertical markets. They should expect to travel throughout the region 50% or more of the time in support of on-going accounts or new sales opportunities within the region.
The SSE must have a strong technical aptitude and strategic/tactical thinking skills to win business in a competitive environment. Problem solving and excellent communication skills are required. They will be responsible for updating and using CRM database to convey account support and goals. They must be a team player and get inside sales and other departments supporting their development efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily management and prioritization of technical sales call activities, sales leads, opportunities, and quotes.
Interaction with customers, Vertical Sales Managers, Channel Manager, Inside Sales, and USreps via telephone, email and face-to-face sales calls.
Maintain and manage sales opportunities via Salesforce software and other online/in-house tools.
Be the customers? voice and liaison for technical information between USReps, engineering, operations, and supporting sales personnel.
Direct interaction with our inside sales support, sales reps, customer service, and sales management.
Ability to read, understand and articulate technical outline drawings.
Qualifications
Education: Engineering or technical degree from accredited university
Experience: Five (5) to seven years of progressive sales and business development experience managing technical field support, development, and innovative technical sales support with customers. Significant experience in consultative & solutions selling techniques
